Garden as sculpture: the circle and the square as two main basic forms of all life.
Coming from the street, one first descends a step to a circular plane and from there one goes up three steps to the house. The l sunken area is scovered with gravel – which is a metaphor for water in the Japanese Garden and is used for ritual cleansing in many religions: After the symbolic cleansing we enter the house.
Raised beds flank the stairs and an open fence marks the border. Flat cut lime trees form a protective roof over the garden. In the evening, the leaves reflect the light of the recessed ground spotlights and thus illuminate the garden.
